Distro Media has the same job as any news publisher – to get reporting in front of readers. The difference is in how we do it.

Distro Newslode is our version of a corporate blog, an alternative for companies who now often are posting their updates and announcements on little-visited websites.

We're an Austin-based startup, founded in 2024 by former CoinDesk and Bloomberg journalist Bradley Keoun. We build AI- and blockchain-based tools for news publication and distribution.

Here's the elevator version:

Distro's platform consists of a consumer-friendly web app and news database, in combination with our Distro Publisher and Distro Reader MCP servers. The setup allows reporters to publish their work on their own online publication, or several. Perhaps most importantly, it allows their stories to be delivered in their original, non-summarized form to readers via their AI chatbots or agents. That's important because we believe that in the not-too-distant future, most people will likely be getting most of their information through an AI agent or smart browser.

The flagship web app, DistroVerse, lets anyone create a "newslode" (think: a digital magazine, newspaper, or video album) in minutes and start publishing. The two MCP servers handle the surrounding loop.

Distro Publisher gives reporters and editors a way to file, edit, and publish stories from Claude, ChatGPT, or any other AI client.

Distro Reader lets the public discover and read those stories from inside the same tools, including paying for single premium articles via crypto micropayments at transaction costs under a tenth of a cent.

Distro started covering news with its own platform almost immediately. In February 2026, Brad spun up a newslode called Ethereum Conference News to cover EthBoulder and ETHDenver. He filed stories and distributed video interviews over the week, creating the publication and publishing the first story in about the time it might take to set up a Substack.

He also is the founding editor of DeAI News, which produces original news and curates important stories on the topic of decentralized AI – the intersection of blockchain and artificial intelligence.

In March 2026, Distro Media successfully completed a pilot project for the "agentic newsstand" – a production-grade, scalable system that readers can use to buy full-display single news articles via an AI chatbot or agent, with negligible transaction costs.

In May 2026, Distro Media became the first purpose-built independent news publishing platform to get an MCP server listed on the influential PulseMCP registry.

About the founder. Brad Keoun spent 25-plus years as a journalist at CoinDesk (most recently as managing editor of tech & protocols), TheStreet, Bloomberg News, the Chicago Tribune and Gainesville Sun). The job was to put out award-winning journalism despite constantly struggling with difficult-to-use professional content management systems. He is the inventor of the "agentic press" – an engineering setup that publishers use AI chatbots as agents as their CMSs, while delivering content straight to readers via their agents or chatbots.
