Visa, the card-payments network, unveiled a new feature, "Intelligence Commerce Connect," that connects AI agent purchases to its Visa Acceptance Platform.

The move theoretically should speed up agentic commerce, since online and in-app checkouts and marketplaces will now be tied to AI agent payments, including Stripe's blockchain-based Machine Payments Protocol (MPP).

The solution integrates both Visa Intelligent Commerce APIs, which are used to process agent purchases using Visa cards, and other networks' APIs, allowing agents to pay with both Visa and non-Visa cards, according to a Visa press release.
