Walrus Foundation, which supports the data-storage protocol, introduced the OpenClaw plugin last week.
It works with MemWal, described in an April 30 blog post as a "long-term, verifiable memory layer on Walrus."
According to the post:
"The MemWal plugin connects NemoClaw and OpenClaw agents to MemWal's memory model so developers can add persistent memory with minimal integration work. The plugin exposes MemWal memory operations as tools the agent can call during execution, allowing memory reads and writes to become part of the normal agent workflow."
The release shows another way in which blockchain projects, always searching for new use cases, are pivoting to tailor their offerings to AI developers.
