Ben Goertzel, CEO of the decentralized AI project SingularityNET, published a research paper suggesting that a proposed "cognitive orchestration layer" for agentic systems addresses the "frustrating reality" that "the human is the glue" when working with multiple AI tools at once, according to a blog post.

The experiment, involving a setup called "HyperClaw," aimed to mostly automate a "quantitative finance research workflow involving roughly 100 experimental iterations across notebooks, papers, and data pipelines, consuming around 30 hours of human time." The rote work included jobs like "generate/critique/revise cycles, bug fixes, parameter sweeps."

The result was a projected reduction in human effort to "~5 focused hours of strategic input."
