The U.S. crypto exchange is "testing AI agents that show up in slack/email at work, just like any human teammate," Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong wrote Saturday on X.
The effort is starting with two agents modeled after "legendary former Coinbase employees," namely co-founder Fred Ehrsam and former CTO Balaji Srinivasan.
"Soon, it will be easy for any employee to spin up a new agent for themselves or their team," Armstrong wrote. "I suspect we will have more agents than human employees at some point."
